FC ROBO QUEENS ROAR INTO QUEENS CUP FINAL WITH DOMINANT DISPLAY
FC ROBO Queens have sent a strong message ahead of the 2025/26 NWFL season by cruising into the final of the inaugural Queens Cup — a South West women’s pre-season competition — with a commanding and attacking brand of football.
Drawn into a competitive group, Robo Queens wasted no time asserting their dominance:
- 6–0 win over Wazbak Ladies
- 9–0 demolition of Phoenix Queens
- Narrow 2–1 loss to Remo Queens
- 4–1 triumph over Danaz Ladies in the much-anticipated Lagos derby,a replica result of when both sides met in the 2023 LSFA Federation cup final
In total, Robo Queens netted an impressive 19 goals, conceding just 3— none from open play against their first-choice goalkeeper.
Yahaya Mariam has been the standout name of the competition, banging in 10 goals, showing deadly precision and composure in front of goal. Supporting her in attack, Ajakaye Opeyemi scored 3 goals, while Adegbuyi Oluwakemi added 2 to the tally.
Creative brilliance came from midfield dynamo Emmanuel Faith, who tallied a stunning 8 assists, truly living up to her title as “Queen in the park.” She was ably supported by Rafiu Tosin with 6 assists, Yusuf Rodiat (2 assists), and Agera Susan & Oduntan Azeezat, who each contributed one assist.
In goal, Olusesi Moridiyah stood strong with 1 clean sheet in 2 appearances, and notably didn’t concede any goal from open play — a mark of both her consistency and the team’s defensive discipline.
Now heading into the final, FC ROBO Queens have combined flair, grit, and tactical maturity — all signs of a team ready for the battles of the upcoming league season.
Eyes on the trophy. Queens of the future. ROBO is ready.
