From Remo to Yenagoa: Wemimo Mathew Lands Bayelsa Queens Job

Former Remo Stars Ladies head coach, Wemimo Mathew, has officially completed a move to Bayelsa Queens, signing a two-year contract with the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions.

The highly-rated tactician joins the Yenagoa-based side after a successful spell with Remo Stars Ladies and will arrive with her own backroom staff as she begins a new chapter with the Prosperity Girls.

Bayelsa Queens turned to Mathew following the departure of former head coach Whyte Ogbonda, with the club banking on her experience and tactical expertise to lead the team in the upcoming campaign.

Mathew is expected to begin preparations immediately as Bayelsa Queens aim to build on their recent success and challenge for more domestic and continental honours.
