Super Falcons Arrive in Rabat in Style Ahead of WAFCON 2026 Campaign

The reigning African champions embraced Nigeria's cultural heritage with a stunning display of green, white and green traditional attire, blending elegance with national pride as they arrived in Rabat.

Defending champions Nigeria's Super Falcons have arrived in Rabat, Morocco, where they will play all their Group C fixtures at the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The nine-time African champions touched down in the Moroccan capital looking elegant in coordinated green-and-white traditional attire. The flowing gowns, paired with neatly tied headgears, reflected Nigeria's rich cultural heritage as the team made a stylish entrance ahead of the continental showpiece.

All 25 invited players travelled to Rabat after completing a 10-day training camp in Casablanca, where preparations for the tournament reached their final stage.

The Falcons also rounded off their build-up with a 2-1 victory over Tanzania in a friendly match, offering another positive sign ahead of their quest for continental glory.

Nigeria will begin their Group C campaign against tournament debutants Malawi on Tuesday, 28 July, before facing Zambia on 1 August and Egypt on 5 August.

The Super Falcons are chasing a record-extending 11th WAFCON title, further cementing their status as the most successful team in the competition's history.

Beyond continental honours, there is even more at stake, as the four semi-finalists will secure automatic qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil.
