By Kofi Graphy

Mariam Abdulkabir is steadily finding her feet in Turkish football, and her early performances for Kayseri Kadın Futbol Kulübü are beginning to offer an encouraging glimpse of what she can bring to the league.

The Nigerian forward’s journey has been one of gradual integration. Starting from the bench in her first appearance against Sultanbeyli, Mariam made her presence felt when introduced, providing the assist for the final goal in an entertaining 4–3 encounter.

She was subsequently named among the substitutes against Antalyaspor and Amed SK, continuing to adapt to a new footballing environment, different tactical demands and a new league.

Her growing involvement soon translated into starting opportunities.

Mariam earned her first start against Yüksekova, a significant step in her adjustment to Turkish football. She followed that up with another start against Çekmeköy, where she delivered arguably her most influential performance so far.

Against Çekmeköy, Mariam registered two assists, directly contributing to two goals for Kayseri Kadın Futbol Kulübü and demonstrating her ability to create opportunities for her teammates.

From coming off the bench and assisting a goal against Sultanbeyli to earning consecutive starts and producing two assists against Çekmeköy, Mariam's progression is becoming increasingly visible.

For a player settling into a new country and league, the early signs are encouraging. Her increasing minutes, growing confidence and direct contributions suggest that she is gradually becoming more comfortable with the demands of Turkish football.

There is still a long season ahead, but Mariam Abdulkabir has already shown glimpses of her creativity and attacking quality.

The adaptation is underway. The performances are growing. And Mariam is beginning to make her mark in Turkey.
